Jailed woman now facing homicide charge

SYCAMORE — A DeKalb woman already in jail on drug charges is also accused of supplying a man with methadone that led to his death.

Dacia R. Hensley, 38, of the 1100 block of West Lincoln Highway in DeKalb – who appeared during a hearing at the courthouse via closed-circuit TV from the DeKalb County Jail – is charged with drug-induced homicide and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. If convicted of the drug-induced homicide charge, Hensley faces up to 30 years in prison.

Hensley was charged in July with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer.
