DeKalb’s 4th Ward alderman will not seek re-election

DeKALB – Brendon Gallagher will not seek re-election to his seat on the DeKalb City Council after his term ends in April.

The 4th Ward alderman was being interviewed by WLBK-FM Thursday when he made his announcement.

In a separate interview, Gallagher said he wanted to spend more time with his family. His three kids are 8, 12 and 16 years old, and Gallagher said he didn’t want his work with the City Council to interfere with that.
