Janine Mahalick has shared her love of Jesus Christ through song since 1975, performing across the United States and in Germany and Slovakia as well. On Sept. 8, she will share that passion at Sycamore United Methodist Church as part of its Jessie Viner concert series.
Mahalick’s desire is to bring encouragement to people through her words and songs. She has been a radio guest and appeared on WLJC television several times in concert. She also has performed in a wide array of venues including homecomings, churches, nursing homes and concert auditoriums. She has such a heart for seniors that she often visits people that are shut-in and gives them a personal concert.
There will be two CDs available after the concert, one titled “Heavenly News” and the other called “The Journey.” She is in the process of making a new recording with her son, Jim, which should be finished before Christmas.
Refreshments will be served after the 5 p.m. concert. There will be a free-will offering taken for Mahalick’s ministry. The church is located at 160 Johnson Ave. in Sycamore.
