Kish College offers free ESL classes

The Adult Education and Transition Programs division at Kishwaukee College will offer free beginning and intermediate level English as a Second Language courses at various times and locations during Fall 2012 in the DeKalb County area. The fall semester began last week. Beginning and Intermediate ESL classes help adults with limited English proficiency learn the basics of speaking, listening, reading, and writing with practical applications to daily life. 

Beginning ESL is offered at Conexion Comunidad, 637 N. 11th St. in DeKalb, and meets from 5:30 to 8:10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students must enroll in this class before Friday. With sufficient enrollment by Friday, childcare will be available through the Family Literacy Program for children from birth through age 10, while their parents are in class.
