First day a family affair at D-427 schools

SYCAMORE – Staff members at North Grove Elementary did their best to channel their inner Michael Jordan as they received a superstar introduction on the first day of school.

Principal Ryan Janisch introduced his staff to students and their families in true Chicago Bulls fashion, with the Alan Parsons Project playing in the background, hoping to generate the same excitement found in the United Center among his students and staff for the start of the school year.

“It’s a great way to celebrate the start of the year with the whole family,” Janisch said of the annual Flying with the Hawks kickoff event. “And it was fun to bring the staff out like superstars.”
