Blumen Gardens was selected as one of three garden centers to be featured in a garden center tour Monday, hosted by the Independent Garden Center Show.
The IGC Show is the world’s largest trade show and conference for independent garden centers. Garden center owners, managers and buyers from all over come to “buy and sell, exchange ideas and celebrate this business so many have grown to love and call their own,” according to the IGC website.
About 250 people from the industry will travel to Blumen Gardens from Chicago for a first-hand look at what Blumen Gardens has to offer and experience the hard work that Joan and Joel Barczak and their staff have put into creating a very special garden center with beautiful display gardens, artistic plant and decor presentation and a caring, knowledgeable staff.
The IGC promotes the Chicagoland Garden Center Tour as “an inside look at three highly successful Chicagoland independent garden centers.” Industry professionals will network, and moderators will describe the best practices that put each of the centers on the tour “on top in their market.”
The Hardy Plant Association of Wisconsin held a multiday garden tour last weekend that also visited Blumen Gardens. About 55 people toured the garden center and facilities Friday.
