Fire at care center under investigation
DeKALB – A fire at Bethany Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is under investigation by police and fire officials after a resident reportedly set a bed on fire late Monday.
DeKalb Fire Chief Eric Hicks said firefighters were called about 11:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a bed on fire in a resident’s single room at the center, at 3298 Resource Parkway in DeKalb.
By the time fire crews arrived, a staff member had extinguished the fire.
