DeKALB – DeKalb County Board nember Bob Brown will be hospitalized for at least one month at Loyola University Hospital.

Ruth Anne Tobias, D-DeKalb, informed the County Board that Brown will be treated for acute leukemia at the Chicago-based hospital. She said he has already started chemotherapy.

Brown, D-DeKalb, represents District 6, which runs west of Annie Glidden Road to Lucas Road and south of Rich Road to Gurler Road. He was elected to the board in November 2010 after a failed bid for state representative in 2004. He is running for re-election in November’s election.
