Former Bears lend hand at DeKalb youth camp
DeKALB – The kids stood at attention eagerly awaiting the next command to come from any one of the 1985 Super Bowl champion Bears who were intermixed among the kids helping, high-fiving and coaching every single one of them.
“Wake up! What time did y’all go to bed last night – let’s see some hustle out here,” shouted Otis Wilson, a former standout linebacker for the Bears.
On Friday afternoon, the legendary 1985 Bears, the last to win a Super Bowl title for the franchise, teamed up with LifeSource blood center to run a football clinic. Blood drives were held June 23 and July 10 for the community.
