Letter: Converse with DeKalb County Tea Party
To the Editor:
There is a DeKalb County Tea Party – after one year, 55 members and growing. And, yes, Dan McIntyre and Ted McCarron are members of its executive board along with Kevin Hendrickson, Sherry Hellmuth, Demetri Broches and myself. (Re: Cecile Meyer’s Letter to the Editor, “Tea party members need to get their story straight,” July 10, 2012, edition of the Daily Chronicle).
After reading your letter and rereading the other three letters involved, I cannot find where Dan and Ted contradict each other. When Dan addresses Mr. Omerod’s assertion that we are a “self-appointed watch dog group,” he is obviously disagreeing with the appellation, “self-appointed,” and is certainly not disagreeing with the term “watch dog” as your letter states. We most definitely are a watch dog group.
