Watch 135 space shuttle launches simultaneously

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Watching a space shuttle launch from your TV or computer is an experience itself. So how about watching all 135 simultaneously?

Artist McLean Fahnestock decided to compile all of NASA's launches into a nearly four-minute video, syncing the launches with each other. From seconds before the liftoff as the main engines begin firing to after the launch, this is truly a remarkable compilation.

It even highlights the Challenger disaster by fading out the square, only featuring the audio from the 1986 disaster.

Fahnestock's "Grand Finale" is a finalist for the best remix at the Vimeo Festival Awards. Chances are that you haven't seen (or even heard about) this masterpiece but this is worthwhile.
