For the past 50 years, the Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce has worked to attract new business to the city of Genoa. We also provide business advocacy to improve the quality of life and economic vitality for Genoa and the surrounding area.
The investment a member makes in a chamber creates a lasting relationship when promoting, networking and marketing their business.
The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide its members with many networking opportunities, such as our home and business expo, business after hours, ribbon-cuttings, monthly membership luncheon, annual dinner and much more. We are always excited to offer community events that give our members a chance to engage with residents and visitors to showcase their businesses and talk about what they do while having fun.
The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to invite you to join us for our largest event of the year. The 2012 Golf Classic is scheduled for July 27 at the fabulous Sycamore Golf Club. This event is open to the public. There will be lunch, 18 holes of golf including cart, social hour, dinner, raffles, prizes and awards. Come join us for this wonderful day of fun in the sun. What a great way to get acquainted with your local chamber while networking with executives, business associates and friends.
There will be an opportunity to win a 2013 Ford Escape for a hole-in-one, sponsored by Brian Bemis Automotive Group. We also will have hole sponsors with games and activities to showcase businesses. Grab a pink golf ball and see how long you can hold onto it during your game. We will have prizes awarded in several categories, including longest drive, shortest drive, most honest score and more. There will be large raffles of a grill, backyard fire pit, patio fountain and more. Thank you to our corporate sponsor KishHealth System and the committee members, Chairwoman Linda Underwood of Century 21 New Heritage, Rob Galick of Kishwaukee College, Nicole Moore of Resource Bank, Charmaine Cornwell of Citizens First National Bank and Doug Guard of Book of Numbers.
Also look for the Great Genoa Duck Race tickets that are on sale. First prize is $500, second prize is $250, third prize is $100 and last place wins $50. The Great Genoa Duck Race will be held Sept. 8 at Carroll Memorial Park in Genoa. Watch your plastic duck float down the Kishwaukee River. The event also will include face painting, jump houses, Culver’s frozen custard, music and games.
