CHICAGO – The White Sox added another arm to their organization, claiming left-hander Daniel Moskos off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Sox optioned Moskos to Triple-A Charlotte. Moskos, 26, went 1-1 with a 2.96 ERA in 31 appearances with the Pirates last season. In 14 games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, Moskos went 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA, 11 strikeouts and held opponents to a .241 average.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Moskos was selected fourth overall by the Pirates in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft.
