Joliet woman injured after car strikes cow
WATERMAN – A Joliet woman was hospitalized with injuries after striking a cow in the road near Waterman.
According to a police report from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Martha J. Johnson, 60, of the 200 block of North Madison Street in Joliet, was headed east on Route 30 near Waterman shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday when she came across cows in the roadway just east of Howison Road.
Johnson’s car hit one of the cows, then went into a ditch on the north side of the road and rolled over.
