This year, the Illinois CPA Society awarded $47,000 in scholarships to 23 accounting students from multiple institutions around the state.

Scholarship recipients include students in both undergraduate and graduate level accounting programs who have maintained a minimum 3.0 grade point average. All scholarship recipients plan on pursuing the CPA licensure and demonstrate a course of study that reflects this goal.

The local 2012-13 academic year beneficiaries are Regina Chase-Smith of Sycamore and Run Jin You of DeKalb, both students at Northern Illinois University.
