Four pounds of pot  seized near Somonauk

SOMONAUK – Three men were arrested on drug charges after sheriff’s deputies seized marijuana plants, money and electronics during a search Tuesday.

John M. Virzi, 23, and Daniel T. Sponholtz, 24, both of the 15000 block of Fawn Drive in Somonauk, were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, unlawful production of marijuana plants and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Timothy L. Brewer, 51, also of the 15000 block of Fawn Drive in Somonauk, was charged with unlawful production of marijuana plants.
