Yaeger marks 50 years in banking
DeKALB — Dewey R. Yaeger, a member of Town and Country Financial Corporation’s Board of Directors, recently marked 50 years in banking. He received a special statement from Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford recognizing the milestone and was inducted into the Illinois Bankers Association’s 50-Year Club.
“We at Town and Country are truly fortunate that through Dewey’s own professional journey, he chose to be a part of ours,” said Micah Bartlett, president and CEO of Town and Country Financial Corporation and Town and Country Bank. “I had the great fortune of working for Dewey early on in my career and am thankful we are associated again at Town and Country. We are extremely grateful to have such a talented and committed member of the banking community a part of our organization.”
Yaeger began his banking career in 1962 with Springfield Marine Bank, now known as JPMorgan Chase, serving as a credit analyst, credit department manager, loan officer and VP of commercial lending. He was president and CEO of First of America, formerly DeKalb Bank, from 1985 through 1993. From 1993 to 1997, he was the president and CEO of Central National Bank of Mattoon and from 1997 to 2003 served as president, COO and CEO of Castle Bancgroup, Inc. in DeKalb. Yaeger also retired as president and CEO of Union Bancorp in 2005.
