Beginning today, readers of the Daily Chronicle’s website, Daily-Chronicle.com, will be asked to answer a simple survey question before viewing their first full story.
When readers first visit Daily-Chronicle.com, they will see our home page as usual. But when clicking on the first headline, they will be asked a question such as, “Do you drink pop?” Readers also may be asked to “Like” the story on Facebook.
By performing either of these quick actions, the full story will appear. The survey is part of our exploration into how we can work with Internet companies such as Google.
The survey question will be displayed only on the first story the reader views. Readers will be asked to answer only one survey every 24 hours. All surveys will be completely anonymous, and Google will not use any data collected for their own ad targeting.
