SYCAMORE – A Chicago man was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for his part in a September robbery.
During a hearing at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore, Tory Hill, 22, of the 600 block of West 79th Street in Chicago, pleaded guilty to robbery.
Also charged in the incident are Pierre Black, 21, and Jontiez Brooks, 19, also of Chicago.
On Sept. 27, a man told police he was playing dice with several people in an apartment in the 400 block of Russell Road in DeKalb. After he won money, the man told police three of the people who lost followed him into the hallway.
One displayed a handgun while the other two went through the man’s pockets, taking money and other items before going back into the apartment, according to police.
Hill will receive credit for time served in jail. Presiding Judge Robbin Stuckert recommended he serve the remainder of his sentence in boot camp. Under the terms of his plea agreement, Hill will be on parole for two years. Black will next appear in court July 23; Brooks will appear Aug. 15.
