The Kishwaukee Family YMCA is dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected and secure children, adults, families and communities. To support this cause, the Y has hired a youth development director and membership director.
Lesley Feyerherm has been hired as the youth development director. Feyerherm has been a part of the Kishwaukee Family Y for the past five years, primarily with Summer Day Camp and helping periodically in the After School Program, Kids Zone, the Activity Center and various sports camps. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois and has worked as a leadership consultant for Alpha Gamma Delta International Fraternity, a women’s organization focused on the development and advancement of women.
As youth development director, Feyerherm will be in charge of Summer Day Camp, After School Program, Preschool and Kids Zone. She also will be in charge of the Adventure Guides and Activity Center.
Elizabeth Behling has been hired as membership director. Behling has most recently been the membership coordinator with the Galowich YMCA in Joliet. She has extensive experience with customer service and member engagement and loves working with youth, which makes her a great fit for the Y. She also has been a camp director and after school counselor for several years. Behling has a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and is working toward her MBA. As membership director, Behling’s responsibilities will include overseeing the member relations staff and front desk operations.
