SYCAMORE – A woman charged with attacking others at a party in April pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated battery and mob action.
Jessica H. Diming, 21, of the 1400 block of Elmwood Avenue in DeKalb, was charged along with four others who attacked two women at an April 9 party in the 800 block of West Taylor Street in DeKalb.
One victim had a broken nose and a swollen eye.
Diming was sentenced to 30 months’ probation and was given credit for 78 days served in the DeKalb County Jail. Presiding Judge Robbin Stuckert said Diming also cannot have contact with the complaining witnesses.
Another count of mob action and four counts of battery were dismissed.
Also charged in the incident are Niekata Kizer, 17, of the 900 block of North 14th Street in DeKalb; Tanesha Jones, 19, of the 600 block of South First Street in DeKalb; and Arricka S. Kizer, 21, and Tywan J. Frierson, 26, both of the 1200 block of Pleasant Street in DeKalb.
Bond for Niekata Kizer had been set at $75,000, and bond for Jones and Diming had been set at $50,000.
Bond was set at $100,000 each for Arricka Kizer and Frierson, who turned themselves in to police June 14. Warrants were issued for their arrests April 11.
Arricka Kizer and Frierson were charged with aggravated battery and mob action. Arricka Kizer also was charged with four counts of battery; Frierson also was charged with two counts of battery.
Mob action is punishable by as many as three years in prison, and aggravated battery is punishable by as many as five years in prison.
Frierson is due back in court July 11; Arricka Kizer is due back July 12.
