Our View: State auditor’s newest report: Read it and weep
Governmental financial audits don’t make the news that often, unless it is later found they didn’t uncover glaring irregularities. (Just ask the residents of Dixon about that.)
An audit report released Thursday by Illinois Auditor General William Holland generated a news story from The Associated Press that outlined Illinois’ deteriorating financial condition.
