St. Charles man faces burglary charges in Kingston incident

SYCAMORE – Bond was set at $40,000 for a St. Charles man charged with trespassing on and attempting to enter a Kingston resident’s property.

Barth A. Gardner, 39, of the 41W800 block of Empire Road in St. Charles, was charged with attempted residential burglary, a Class 2 felony punishable by up to seven years in prison; attempted burglary, a Class 3 felony punishable by up to five years in prison; and criminal trespass to real property, a Class B misdemeanor punishable by not more than six months in jail.

He appeared in court Thursday via closed-circuit TV from the DeKalb County Jail.
