Letter: Tea party doesn’t target just Democrats, liberals

To the Editor:

Many people know the conservative and libertarian leaning tea party movement is highly critical of President Obama and liberal Democrats. What many don’t know is that another reason for the movement was because its members were fed up with big spending, big government Republicans as well. All too often Republican politicians promote policy that is little or no different than that of Democrats.

A perfect example of this in Illinois is the recent passing of HB 5007. Under the guise of “reforming Medicare,” it actually passed Obamacare two years early, and none of this would have been possible without the help of Republican Leader Tom Cross and Christine Radogno, who delivered to the Dems the 11 Republican votes they needed to pass it. That’s right, certain Republicans helped Illinois implement Obamacare two years early.
