Jailed DeKalb man faces sex abuse charges

SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man already in jail was indicted Friday on additional charges of criminal sexual abuse.

Richard C. Griffith-Perez, 20, of the 800 block of Charles Street in DeKalb, pleaded not guilty Monday to four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony punishable by up to seven years in prison; four counts of criminal sexual abuse, a Class 4 felony punishable by up to three years in prison; and four counts of criminal sexual abuse, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail.

According to court documents, Griffith-Perez committed acts of sexual conduct with a minor between the ages of 13 and 17 on July 9, 2010.
