Bridge to Healthcare Careers Program offered
Community residents who are interested in receiving their GED and then pursuing a career in healthcare have an opportunity to learn more about their options.
Kishwaukee College’s Adult Education and Transition Programs division is offering The Bridge to Healthcare Careers program from 5:30 to 8:10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 7 at Golden Years Plaza, 507 E. Taylor St. in DeKalb. This class is being offered in cooperation with DeKalb County Housing Authority. The class has an open enrollment, which means students can join the class at any time during the semester. The class is free; placement testing is required.
The program offers qualified students an opportunity to improve basic education skills and prepare for the GED tests while simultaneously exploring a variety of healthcare careers. Students will learn about the various certificate and degree programs available, as well as skills needed to enter these training programs.
