Ask questions while spending a 'Day on the Farm'

MAPLE PARK – A “Day on the Farm” has been scheduled for Saturday at Larson Farms in rural Maple Park.

Mike and Lynn Martz and the Larson family will host “Day on the Farm” tours, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Farm Bureau. They will answer questions about the production of food, explain farming practices, and share what really happens on today’s family farm.

Those who attend “Day on the Farm” will see farm equipment with GPS technology, get a close look at the crops, observe cattle in the feedlot, and learn how they use ultrasound to determine meat quality.
