Police: Man charged pointed rifle at crowd

WATERMAN – A Mundelein man was charged Sunday after police said he pointed an assault rifle at people while in the front yard of a Waterman residence.

No shots were fired and no one was injured, according to a news release from the Waterman Police Department.

Waterman police and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a disturbance Sunday morning at a home in the 300 block of South Maple Street. They determined a confrontation occurred in the yard where Daniel J. Mullis, 34, pointed the rifle, according to the release.
