SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office cited 16 people early Saturday morning for underage drinking.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Dovetail Point in Sycamore at 12:20 a.m. to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle, according to a news release. Sgt. Andy Sullivan said the caller saw someone exit a vehicle and walk through a yard across the street. The caller became more suspicious because that person took off running when another vehicle passed by.

The call led police to the home where more than a dozen underage people were drinking. Sullivan said police contacted the homeowners, who were unaware of what happened.
