Wine Tasting Under the Oaks is Saturday

The inaugural Wine Tasting Under the Oaks, presented by the Big Rock Plowing Match Association, will feature five Illinois wineries: Waterman Winery, Willett’s Winery & Cellar, Fox Creek Vineyards, Hailey’s Winery and Vahling Vineyards.

The event will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Plowman’s Park in Big Rock. Parking and entrance to the festival are free. Visit www.bigrockwinefest.com for directions to the park.

Wine-tasting wristbands can be purchased for $10, which includes a souvenir wine glass and five tastings. Additional tickets for the tastings can be purchased for $1 each and will be sold until 7:30 p.m. Patrons wishing to participate in the wine tasting must be 21 years or older with a valid ID. There will be a designated driver tent sponsored by Pepsi providing pop and water to those not participating in the tastings.
