First Lady to address AME Church conference
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – First Lady Michelle Obama will give the keynote address to the nation’s oldest black religious denomination at the general conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Nashville on June 28.
The African Methodist Episcopal Church claims a membership of more than 3 million people worldwide and 7,500 churches.
U.S. President Barack Obama addressed the AME conference in 2008 as a U.S. senator.
