DeKalb Farmers’ Market now open for its 17th year

DeKALB – Thursday marked the first DeKalb Farmers’ Market of the summer, and customers hit the Van Buer Plaza to stock up on farm fresh eggs, produce, wine, flowers, cheese and even bacon.

The DeKalb Farmers’ Market is in its 17th year and features staple vendors, such as Norway Farms, and new vendors, such as GoDog Gourmet Hotdogs. Lindsey Engelsman, marketing director for Re:New DeKalb, said 23 vendors have signed up for the market.

“This year and last year we’ve been at full capacity for vendors,” she said.
