Bears’ defense hopes talent translates to success

LAKE FOREST – In terms of hype and attention, the Bears’ offense has established a huge lead on the defense heading into the final stretch of the NFL offseason.

In terms of confidence, the defense is just fine with its below-the-radar status.

“Yeah,” Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton said with a chuckle Wednesday. “We’ve got a lot of new pieces to the offense, so of course they always get all the flash and love. The defense just goes out there and does what it does: Monsters of the Midway.”
