Stage Coach presents ‘Forbidden Broadway’

Stage Coach Players will present the uproarious musical, “Forbidden Broadway,” directed by Gloria Dennison of DeKalb, beginning this weekend.

“I love musical theater,” Dennison said in a news release. “This show is the culmination of everything outrageous about theater. There is no storyline to follow, no deep meaning to uncover or life lesson to be learned. What I can promise you is a great deal of music that will get your toes tapping, energy that will lift your spirits and plenty of laughter that is just plain old good for you.”

The show is a cabaret revue that spoofs show tunes, both contemporary and classic Broadway musicals and famous Broadway actors, producers, writers, choreographers and composers. It mocks popular shows like “Wicked,” “Hairspray,” “Les Miserables,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Rent,” and many others.
