Latimer resigns from G-K baseball

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Genoa-Kingston baseball coach Josh Latimer has resigned, Latimer told the Daily Chronicle on Monday afternoon.

"It's just one of those things where I honestly feel they weren't ready for me, for my coaching style and what I had to bring to the table, getting kids ready for the collegiate level, trying to take kids to that level," Latimer said. "The intensity that I have, it's a program except for a handful of players, it's one of those programs that isn't ready for my coaching style."

Latimer was 20-34 in two seasons with the Cogs, who went 14-13 in Latimer's first season, the first winning season for G-K in 11 seasons.
