Letter: Pritchard takes bold stand

To the Editor:

In very close votes, the Illinois House and Senate have approved Medicaid reform that includes a $1-per-pack cigarette tax increase.

Kishwaukee Community Hospital is relieved that this legislation passed and wants to publicly thank state Rep. Robert Pritchard, R-Hinckley, for boldly voting yes on the measure, which narrowly passed in the House, 60-52. Without bipartisan support, the required 60 votes would not have been possible.
