Going green means more green for businesses
DeKALB – Andrew Johnson said the phrase “throw away” should be thrown away.
Johnson, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited project manager, said there is no such place as “away,” and any time a company disposes of something it goes somewhere, along with the money it could have saved.
“This concept of throwing things away is really old hat,” Johnson said. “Everyone is going green, and it’s being recognized throughout society that this is the responsible thing to do.”
