Woman charged after stabbing boyfriend in the arm

DeKALB — A woman charged with swinging a knife toward her boyfriend and stabbing him with it had bond set Wednesday at $15,000.

LaToya D. Walker, 24, of the 800 block of West Ridge Drive in DeKalb, was charged with two counts of domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail, and aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony punishable by up to seven years in prison.

During an argument with her boyfriend at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Walker grabbed a knife from the kitchen and threatened him with it, according to court documents. He retreated to the bathroom and she began pushing her way through the bathroom door.
