PREP ROUNDUP: Kohler, Miller lead Spartans

Katherine Kohler scored on an assist from Emma Norris, and Lauren Miller scored on a penalty kick in the Sycamore girls soccer team’s 2-0 win against Kaneland on Thursday.

“I thought tonight showed what my team is capable of,” Sycamore coach Dave Lichamer said. “We’re capable of playing some very good, solid soccer from all the way in the back with [goalkeeper Olyvia] Rand to all the way to the front with the forwards. We controlled the pace of the game completely.”

Sycamore moved to 13-7-1 overall and 8-1 in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference. Kaneland is 8-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the NI Big 12.
