Fire damaged DeKalb grocery store
DeKALB - A fire caused $250,000 worth of damage to a grocery store in DeKalb.
Firefighters were called at 9:49 p.m. Friday to La Carniceria Del Sol at 323 E. Locust St. for a report of a fire, according to Interim DeKalb Fire Chief Eric Hicks. The fire caused heavy damage, he said.
Upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the building and determined the fire was inside the business at that address, according to a news release from the fire department.
