DeKalb girls track 4th in NI Big 12 Conference meet
The DeKalb girls track team finished in fourth place at the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference track meet on Friday, scoring 66 points.
Jaylaan Slaughter won the 400-meter dash, setting a meet record, in a time of 57.14 seconds. She took second in the 100 hurdles.
Kelsey Schrader was second in the mile in 5:11. The 4x800 relay team of Schrader, Danielle Dlabal, Desa Diedrich and Monica York was second, setting a school record in 9:49. Jasmine Brown was second in the triple jump with a mark of 35 feet, seven inches.
