Hultgren blasts Quinn for Caterpillar’s decision

PEORIA – Congressman Randy Hultgren is blaming Gov. Pat Quinn for Caterpillar’s decision not to relocate a factory and 1,400 jobs to the state.

Hultgren, R-Winfield, says he hopes the news serves as a wake-up call for the Democratic governor. Hultgren blames the state’s income tax increase and says it should be repealed.

Quinn has touted Illinois’ economic conditions, saying he’s made investments that have created jobs.
