Scouting reports: DeKalb-Sycamore

Taking a look at what the coaches see

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Earlier this week, we asked Sycamore boys coach Andrew Stacy and DeKalb boys coach Dave Rohlman what they saw in their opponent. Here are their responses:

Stacy on DeKalb:

"Obviously their length and athleticism. I think they're bigger at every position across the board against us, matchup wise. [Andre] Harris is playing really well right now, so he's a focal point inside. You've got to worry about him and then I think [Brian] Sisler is one of the top players in the conference, so you've got to know where he's at. He's a heck of a point guard and makes great decisions. I know he's going to rise to the top in that atmosphere."

Rohlman on Sycamore:

"I think what you guys have been writing in the paper is right. I think they're playing much better. But I knew that was going to happen with Drew as the head coach. I've known him for quite a while and with Brett [Goff] – and that's the last time we lost here, when Brett was the coach – but I knew they were going to get better. I think you throw everything out the window when these two teams play in this venue."
