Sycamore's Carpenter to be honored

The Illinois Coaches Association will recognize Sycamore softball coach Jill Carpenter as the Super-Sectional Coach of the Year at the Hall of Fame banquet on Feb. 12 at the Doubletree in Bloomington.
Carpenter led the 2011 Spartans to a 23-16 record and an appearance in the Class 3A DeKalb Super-Sectional, where Sycamore lost to Marengo, 5-4.
