NI Big 12 all-conference football team announced

The Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference announced its all-conference team on Monday, with several local names appearing on the list.

Kaneland senior wide receiver Quinn Buschbacher was named the MVP of the conference. The leader of the 12-1 Knights finished as the area's leading receiver with 60 receptions for 1,084 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also ran 33 times for 258 yards and eight touchdowns.

Joining Buschbacher on the all-area team from Kaneland: sophomore OL Alex Synder, junior OL Nick Sharp, senior WR Sean Carter, sophomore QB Drew David, senior DL Ryan Noel, senior DL Ben Kovalick, senior DB Jake Razo, junior DB Korey Harner, junior LB Ryan Lawrence and junior LB Blake Bradford.

From Sycamore, all-conference honorees included: senior OL Matt Copple, senior OL Sam Capello, sophomore WR Ben Niemann, junior RB Austin Culton, senior QB Ryan Bartels, senior DL Marcus Dominguez, senior DB Scott Baker and senior LB Jordan Kalk.

From DeKalb, all-conference honorees included: junior OL Joe Diedrich, senior OL Tucker Code, senior WR Dan Matya and senior DB/QB Brian Sisler.
