On Dec. 4, Christ the Teacher University Parish celebrated 50 years of its annual Christmas Benefit Dinner.
This event celebrated the beginning of the season through community fellowship while helping raise money for student and parishioner programs.
This wonderful evening was held at the Duke Ellington Ballroom at Northern Illinois University and was made possible with the hard work and support of the following individuals: Sue and Steve Johnson, Barb Berg, Karen and Mark Anderson, Claudia and Dan Hueber, Matt Swan, Steve Almburg, Kim and Justin Keck, Tom and Pam Sullivan, Michelle Smith, Anita Zurbrugg, Marti Brown, Lucia Kise, Pat O’Neill, Terri Reid, Leslie Venere and the Newman Music Ministry, Katie Fox, the Newman Center student helpers, PKT Fraternity, Knights of Columbus, Holmes Student Center Catering and Audio Visual Department, Karen Villano, and the dedicated Newman Center staff, along with many others who donated their time and talents for this celebration.
