CHICAGO – Former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley Braun says Bill Clinton's decision to campaign for Rahm Emanuel amounts to an outsider helping an outsider in the Chicago mayoral race.
Braun says despite the Chicago Board of Election's decision to keep Emanuel's name on the ballot, it's clear to her that Emanuel didn't meet a one-year residency requirement for mayoral candidates.
Braun is also running for mayor, and she spoke to reporters Wednesday in Chicago. Braun declined to comment on mayoral candidate Congressman Danny Davis' ultimatum to former president Clinton to stay out of Chicago politics.
But she took a jab at Emanuel. She suggests that if he's relying on Clinton's endorsement he might as well bring in other outsiders to help him, like Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak.
