SANDWICH TOWNSHIP - An Aurora man riding a motorcycle was injured Friday evening after striking another vehicle.

Alberto A. Chambers, 33, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle east on Chicago Road shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.

Michael Hacker, 54, of North Aurora, was driving a Chevrolet van west on the same road, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

As Hacker approached the intersection with West Sandwich Road, he went to make a left-hand turn and was struck by Chambers’ motorcycle, according to the news release.

Chambers was taken to Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich; he was no longer there on Saturday evening, according to hospital staff.

Hacker was not injured, according to the news release.
