MAC Picks, Week 2

But I can't get too down on myself. The first week of the college football season always has a few surprises. This year was no different. And if I tell myself that enough times, my 7-5 record from last week feels a little better. With that, the picks for the week.

Today:

Colorado (0-1) at Toledo (0-1): I don't like how the Rockets played against Purdue. But this one is at home for Toledo and Colorado is in more trouble than we thought. If the Dan Hawkins watch hasn't started already, it begins with this game. Pick: Toledo 34, Colorado 28

Saturday:

Pittsburgh (1-0) at Buffalo (1-0): Buffalo is going to contend in the East, but this game belongs to the Fightin' Wannstedt's. Pick: Pittsburgh 21, Buffalo 16

Western Michigan (0-1) Indiana (1-0): I have no idea what to think about Western Michigan. Was this past Saturday a fluke? Or were they just exposed by a much-improved Michigan team? We'll know a lot more by Saturday night. Pick: Western Michigan 24, indiana 21

Eastern Michigan (0-1) at Northwestern (1-0): A long season continues for Ron English. Pick: Northwestern 45, Eastern Michigan 24

Central Michigan (0-1) at Michigan State (1-0): I'll admit, I had this game picked as an upset until last week. CMU rebounds with a stronger performance on offense, but it's not enough. Pick: Michigan State 35, Central Michigan 21

Morgan State (0-0) at Akron (0-1): Hey look, Akron gets into the win column. Pick: Akron 34, Morgan State 14

Kent State (1-0) at Boston College (1-0): We'll find out a lot more about Kent State after this game. Pick: Boston College 27, Kent State 13

Bowling Green (1-0) at Missouri (1-0): Bowling Green has a history of beating Missouri, but the Tigers are too much at home in this one. Pick: Missouri 35, Bowling Green 24

Ohio (0-1) at North Texas (1-0): Riley Dodge moves to 2-0 against the MAC. Pick: North Texas 24, Ohio 17
