Salerno named to Groza watch list

Northern Illinois senior kicker Mike Salerno has been named to the Lou Groza Award watch list. The award is given to the top kicker in college football.

Salerno was 18-of-24 on field goals in 2008 and led the MAC with 16 touchbacks and a 64.9 yards/kickoff average. He was named to the all-MAC second team.

The Award will be presented on Dec. 10, as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards program. For the entire watch list, click here.
